Name Matching Workflow
Use this workflow when your roster names and Zoom display names do not naturally line up.
Before the meeting
Section titled “Before the meeting”- Confirm your roster is already imported.
- Import known nickname or display-name variants into Name Matching.
- Review any frequently reused shared-account names and plan how you want to handle them.
During the meeting
Section titled “During the meeting”- Open the Name Matching sub-tab under Auto Attendance.
- Review unmatched participants early, while you still know who is who.
- Use the appropriate action:
- Mark Guest for out-of-scope attendees.
- Manual Match when you know the correct roster person.
- Confirm Match for detected name changes.
- Split Shared Account when one Zoom name represents multiple people.
- Recheck the attendance table after each action so you can confirm the expected status change.
After the meeting
Section titled “After the meeting”- Review unresolved unmatched names in the attendance record.
- Add durable Name Matching rules in the Settings Panel for names you expect to see again.
- Export your Name Matching rules if you want a backup or need to move them to another computer.
When Sync Review appears
Section titled “When Sync Review appears”If a live-meeting Name Matching change conflicts with an existing saved rule, AttendFlow may hold it for review instead of applying it immediately. Use Sync Review in the Settings Panel to approve or reject that proposed change.
